Jeff Diehl, Managing Partner & Head of Investments, joined a webinar programmed by Economist Impact and supported by Adams Street Partners, to discuss trends that will influence private equity strategies.

Participants discussed investors’ increasing optimism about the outlook for private markets in 2024, with expectations that liquidity, fundraising and returns will improve as interest rates begin to decline amid receding inflation. Panelists expect these dynamics to boost megatrends including the continuing digitization of the global economy, driven in large part by generative AI, which is likely to be a positive for venture and growth-stage disruptors in particular.

Participants also included Elena Manola-Bonthond, Chief Investment Officer at CERN Pension Fund, and Claudia Zeisberger, Professor of Entrepreneurship and Family Enterprise at INSEAD. The session was moderated by Vaibhav Sahgal, Principal, Policy & Insights, at Economist Impact.
